Frequently Asked Dental Questions
Have Your Questions Answered
When selecting a new dental office to call home, you can have many questions in mind. Ultimately, you want to choose the one that seems like a good fit for your needs, which is why our team at Darby Creek Dental has taken the time to answer some of the most commonly asked questions right here for your reference. If other questions come to mind, feel free to contact us and ask, and we’ll be happy to help however we can.
Do you see children?
Of course! Our team loves welcoming whole families, from preschoolers all the way to senior adults. We offer several services that are perfect for growing smiles, including dental sealants, fluoride treatment, and more.
I want to achieve a straighter smile. Can it be done without having to wear metal braces?
Yes. Instead of relying on noticeable brackets and wires, patients may be able to enjoy the much more sophisticated and subtle Invisalign treatment process instead. Improvements are made with the help of clear, plastic aligners that are designed to virtually disappear against your natural smile when worn. Their removable nature is convenient for eating and practicing oral hygiene, and best of all, patients usually achieve their improved smile in just 10-18 months.
What’s the best tooth replacement option?
Dental implants are known as the most widely successful and lifelike reconstructive solution, offering exceptional health and aesthetic benefits. However, not every candidate is right for the procedure. Dental bridges are available as well for patients in need of a sturdy option, while traditional full and partial dentures can offer ease and reliability.
In the end, there is no one treatment that is right for every single patient. During a consultation, our team can work with you to devise the ideal plan of action for rebuilding your unique smile.
Can a dentist really help treat my sleep apnea?
It’s true. Instead of having to rely on a bulky, uncomfortable CPAP machine, patients with mild to moderate cases of sleep apnea can often find relief with a customized oral appliance. This “snoreguard” is designed to slightly reposition the jaw and/or tongue, allowing air to flow freely and for patients to receive the deep, uninterrupted rest they need.
I’m having a dental emergency! Can you help?
Definitely! We do everything in our power to provide emergency relief for patients as soon as possible – typically on the very same day as their initial call. If you’re in need of assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. In fact, our doctors’ cellphone numbers are listed on our contact us page for easier access than ever before in these situations!
Do you accept my insurance?
At Darby Creek Dental, we’re happy to be in-network providers for a wide variety of insurance plans, including Aetna, Delta Dental, Metlife, Cigna, Dentemax Network, United Concordia, GEHA, Humana, and more. If your plan isn’t listed, please contact us so we can confirm whether or not we accept it! Low-interest financing through CareCredit is also available for patients without insurance.
Do you offer extended hours?
Yes! Our team understands how difficult it can be to work in a dental appointment between work and home life. That’s why we open early and stay late multiple days a week– we want to accommodate you instead of the other way around. Appointments can be scheduled at our Marysville, OH practice as early as 7:00am and as late as 6:00pm.
